Research Projects of Stefan Schreieder

We study the topology and birational geometry of algebraic varieties. Here we are mostly interested in concrete geometric problems, ranging from questions such as rationality problems (partly with an arithmetic flavor) to questions about the interaction between the topology and geometry of smooth complex projective varieties. To attack these questions, we use geometric methods, coming from the minimal model program or the study of cycles and Chow groups of varieties, as well as algebraic methods, including cohomological and K-theoretical tools.
