This 5-day-workshop (Monday, August 27 - Friday, August 31, 2018) takes places in the third week of a four week long activity at the Riemann Center for Geometry and Physics. Its aim is to bring together specialists from different areas of mathematics working on various aspects of cubic hypersurfaces. The topics of this workshop include:
- rationality questions for cubic hypersurfaces
- birational geometry of moduli spaces of cubics
- derived categories related to cubic fourfolds
- cubic hypersurfaces and the geometry of irreducible holomorphic symplectic manifolds
- torsors, Cox rings and rational points on cubic hypersurfaces
